Hi Sandy!!
Great to hear from you! As an fyi to you and all others, I'm writing from
Dublin, OH (home of the Memorial Tournament to you golf duffers) suburbia to
Columbus (home of the Buckeyes to you Big Ten football fanatics)
As a personal note to you Sandy, I remember many classes we had together and
sitting next to each other given the alphabetical-seating mentality of the
time. I think German class was the only one that you could actually choose your
own "positioning", but once you did you were bound to that seat for
the rest of the semester.
Second thought, I recall the lab courses allowed some leeway in partner
selection. A far cry though from the open seating and attendance optional
policies of college life.
I guess looking back, teachers 40 years ago just didn't feel we were
responsible enough to just show up on our own.......and, guess what, they were
probably right!!!
I hope you make the reunion, Sandy, as it would be great to see you again. St
louis is closer than Dublin, so you can't use distance as an excuse.
