Neil:
Great stuff!! I can't find Dave Weisert's original e-mail. Did he include
anything that might have been crunched by my corporate e-mail surveilance
software?
I always called our freshman algebra teacher Carroll Bockowitz (with an
"O"). Perhaps I was wrong, but it was neat that some of our
classmates' grandparents had him for algebra.
Mr. VanDeventer was your other math teacher (sp?), I think.
Today the tenderloins at Hunts are thick and greasy and my wife won't let me
near the place. It just isn't the same. Their parking lot is usually filled by
a bar called Crusin's next door. The best Pork Tenderloin in Peoria now is at
Sully's on Adams St. downtown (or at least nearly the best).
I think the assistant Principal was Dean Tucker (our Dean of boys). Someone
correct me if I'm wrong.
The hangout next to Central our Freshman year was "The REC". I don't
remember it past our freshman year but it was a neat place and a shame to lose
(to route 74).
It's really great to hear everyone's memories, please keep them coming!
