About fifteen years after we graduated I ran into Harry Whitaker in the grocery store. Like many of you, Miss Rice was a teacher who had great influence over me, but it was Harry who really made me think. I always thought it was a shame that he left the classroom. Anyway - he told me with brimming eyes (no kidding!) that ours was the best class that he ever dealt with. Reading all these wonderful stories of how you all have actualized your potential, I have to agree with him.
