WOW!!! You guys are really neat!
I was wondering what kind of a response my plea would bring but you restored my
faith in 57?+ year olds still having memories of those formative, fun years.
So many of the things mentioned in the 15 responses received brought back lots
of things I had forgotten-"Hunt's Tenderloins!!" Nothing Better !!
But I do recall the establishment next to Hunt's being called
"Frank's", nice place for a loud jukebox, fast table-shuffleboard,
lots of 15 cent redskin peanuts, and the infamous barkeep "Monty"!!!
The memoir about Frogology also reminded me of the first day of disection in
biology class after we had been prepared for the better part of a semester of
"frog body parts" and then to find only the fresh aroma of
formaldahyde-filled bloated frogs waiting for a dull scalpel !! Not sure they
still do those disections in high school, but I do recall most of the frogs
soon had a nickname affectionately taped to their glass bottle awaiting our
return with that dull scalpel!!
Anyway, keep the memories flowing-I REALLY enjoyed reading and hearing from
everybody so far and we need to keep the communication lines open from now til
the reunion. One observation though-most of the responses have been from the
male sect-we need to hear more from the lovely ladies of our class-Larraine,
Marilyn, I know you're out there, Mary Dimler, Cisty (Swain), Becky (Bourland),
Sherry (Fleming), Ann (Yates)....we need to hear from all of you!!!!
And Nort-please give us more than an "I can't believe that "! note.
This can be a REALLY FUN reunion if we all approach it that way- but it still
takes everyone's contribution!
Look forward to hearing from everyone soon!!!
Dave
