Have you tried reading the Canterbury Tales in the original Middle English? That was a graduate class I took, and it was wonderful. We also read Beowulf in the orignal Olde English. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of call for people who speak Olde or Middle English, so I've lost the skill......smile.
