I made the mistake of checking e-mail and am breaking my "radio silence" to make a hasty response

Jim's Points:

>- I hope no one had in mind publishing the correspondence we have sent back and forth. That's private information, not released to the public

I absolutely agree.

>Also I agree with your assessment of success. I think that Don accepting his salvation and changing his life, and the list of classmates who have raised conscientious and hard working children, those that worked to make a marriage successful, and people who took a hit in life and got back up, are more marks of success than material gain

I see the "stories" on a horizontal line--not a vertical one. While the word has been overused, I am in genuine "awe' of the postings to date. But I still see a lot of names on Todd's site with no postings. Perhaps people are not aware of it. Perhaps there is a hesitancy to "speak out" because of a feeling that there is nothing to say or that their lives would not be perceived as interesting or of value??????????????? I hope this is not the case. Take a look at Jim's comment above.

>I didn't see any need to get too detailed, since it is inappropriate if someone else is going to do the work. Let the author/editor/producer/director decide the direction.

I have the time. I have the inclination. I will serve as one of the above IF

1. There is genuine evidence of interest in it from enough people and that everyone understands that whatever comes out (if anything) will be the stories/themes without attribution--Anonymity is essential in my opinion and must be preserved;

2. At least two or three others (at least one female volunteer and preferably no more lawyers) will join with me in what I call the Concept Development & Writer's Team; and

3. One of the OTHER lawyers in the class will agree to provide some guidance regarding intellectual property issues.

ABOVE ALL This must be a Non-Profit Labor of Love. If by pure chance any money is made it will go to the school. On this point I have no room for negotiation.

I'll check in next week. You all take care and have a great time.

Frank
P.S. What follows will probably disqualify me for any writing assignment BUT I COULD NOT RESIST THE TEMPTATION!
