Hi Patty and Terry,

I want a second chance. How did you and Terry get together?

And I am really surprised we haven't heard lots of memories of you. You were involved in everything. But then we haven't heard memories about me or lots of other people. I was taking that as a compliment. :-)

I do remember visiting you when I first moved to Houston in '74. You had a couple girls didn't you? I also remember when Larry and Linda (Smith) Rager built their first (daughter I think in early '75) way over on the other side of town in Dairy Ashford.

Your offer to host Friday night is great but the way this is going it could be a huge undertaking. I was reluctant to suggest the buffet because I knew it would tend to fragment things. But when I saw how quickly the Aggi's idea filled up I was hoping we could come up with something completely unplanned and informal and close to Aggi's to handle the overflow. I'll bet there are lots of the Peoria folks who would quickly offer their places to host this crowd but I think that's just way above and beyond the call of duty.

However, if you insist and that's where the herd goes, I'll bring the "Danner's Potato Salad" if they still build it there. It may be just what you grow up with but I haven't found a better potatoe (Mrs.Herke, is there supposed to be an "e" there or not?) salad anywhere.

I also remember Ciota's subway sandwiches ... again the best I've had (and I did spend three days in NYC one time and have had the genuine Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches in Philadelphia ... I'm remembering in Philadelphia a block there with about 4 purveyors of those cheesesteak sandwiches and one whose colors were bright orange and white). Ciota's was down at the bottom of Western St. hill as I remember.

/Todd

P.S.: You've broken your silence and now there are slots for you and Terry on the Remembering page. Time for pictures. /T
