Bruce---I definitely remember the three bunt rule and I dimly recall the incident with you swinging away when poor Lang expected bunt. For all the laps you ran under Corky, you were probably the one in best shape on the team that year.

Larry and Lee - It may have been after Lee left or not, but I remember the first thing we were supposed to do in batting practice was to lay down three bunts. I forgot and Bob Lang was standing about 5 feet from home plate on the third base side to field the bunt. When I swung away, Bob hit the deck and Corky hit the roof. I ran laps the rest of the night. Fortunately for Bob, I never hit the ball to the left side of second in my life, so he lived.
