Hi All,

O.K., O.K., Todd, I guess it is time for us who procrastinate to participate!

I have been amazed at all the e-mails, and was somewhat worried at first that I do not recall the DETAILS of so much of what many of you do, especially the classroom stories. I do remember Latin Club. Did we really have a toga party Mrs. S's style?? I remember weird Mr. Neff--I never realized then how bizarre he really is; my locker in what seemed like the basement near a home ecom.'s room, walking the halls before class to see who you could see:)

I think I've heard that people remember events that are emotionally loaded. I remember best the outside of school hours activities! The Turkey day games were a wonderful tradition. I wonder about that now though, having cooked many a turkey on that day. Did our moms actually stay home and prepare the dinner while the rest of the family went to the game? I think mine did. I would have been at the game!! I remember some silliness of a group of us yellling "Kerker, put your hat on" to one of our favorite football players before the game. I have no idea what that all meant, and I am positive that Bev was not involved in any way!:)

I did manage to get the car often, even after we painted the name on it as Marilynn remembered. Is the "Runarounds" the name of a song or just the verse? Run, run, run, run, runarounds is all that goes through my mind. I don't think we were the only ones to paint a name on a car, were we? It must have been a fad. We did a great job on my brother's car, and I can't imagine that led to being a K.O. instead of one of the KEYS. As I remember he was even amused as soon as he found out it washed off!!!!! We were fun, but not stupid:)

I remember Chuck T. as the boy next door, literally!! We had a great block of Columbia Terrace at PHS. I always remember my high school as "Central" though, not PHS. Deciding to go to Central instead of the Academy was the first big decision I remember making for myself--or at least my parents convinced me it was my idea. Joanie M. and I were two of the few from St. Mark's who went as I remember. Who else from St. Mark's went to Central? That decision has stood the test of time for sure!! 40 years later and I have 60+ e-mail long -time friends!!!!!

My husband Barry and I are looking forward to the reunion. What I miss most about Peoria and the area are the changing seasons, at least the beautiful fall leaves, that 1st day of Spring, and the newly fallen snow in the evening. I miss lightening bugs!! I miss long time friends!

I have good memories of high school years filled with wonderful close friends that were a terrific support group for each other(Laraine, Marilynn, Mary, Rebekah, and Valerie) many other good friends--girls and guys-- fun times, spreads, football games, the basketball state tournament, Bradley basketball-walking down Maplewood to the games with my dad, Cornstock theatre & Rebekah singing and acting, driving thru Steak & Shake and Hunts, yes, cherry cokes and french fries at Kane's. It was the Velvet Freeze across the street. Is that real barber shop still there?

See you soon!!
