I'm sorry if I'm beating a dead horse and I am not trying to distract from either Patty and Terry Fuch's generous invitation or my own earlier invitation. I just want to report that my wife corrected me on my Hometown Buffet statements: Groups that she belongs to have reserved space in Hometown Buffets aroung the Midwest. They seem to feel that those places are a good deal.

Aggie's has expanded and does have a pretty good sized back dining room; however, many of us have seen the Friday and Saturday night crowds at Aggies.

Suzie and all:

On the subject of Hometown buffet: We go there from time to time with our kids because of the variety; however, it has always been busy when we've gone there and they have no separate dining areas (Country Buffet did, albiet a bit small). I've never seen anybody try to have a party there (nothing bigger than an extended family). The dining area is big, but it is one open room. The food is passable but not special. The salad bar is decent.

Our kids don't love the place (understatement) but it saves arguments and you can usually get in and out of there pretty quickly (even when there is a long line to get in). Best of all for renovators like us: Lowes is accross the parking lot!
