In looking through my old school file for a grade school photo with some '62 grads, following Todd Marshall's example, I came across some lists of popular songs put out by the radio stations each week. Here's one with an autograph from the Fabulous Fabian. I have this notation that I made on the back which carries some history you might remember -

WIRL Shower of Stars - February 14, 1959 - 3:30 - Armory

The Crickets (Ronnie Smith), Frankie Sardo, Jimmy Clanton, Dion and the Belmonts, AND that fabulous Fabian.

Buddy Holly (Peggy Sue, It's so Easy), J. P. Richardson or The Big Bopper (Chantilly Lace), and Richie Valens (Donna), who were scheduled for the show, were killed in an airplane crash a few weeks previously. Buddy Holly sang with the Crickets, but Ronnie Smith took his place. I thought Ronnie was too hoody! I'll take Buddy Holly.

If this doesn't come through clearly I might try sending it again with a different method. I also found some pastel angora yarn in different colors - all that's left of my going steady with someone.
